Types of absorbent

OIL ONLY |
Oil Only absorbents are oleophillic (oil attracting) and hydrophobic (water repellent). Perfect both for general hydrocarbon clean-up operations and at removing oil from the surface of water as they will not sink, even when fully saturated. Colour: white |

MAINTENANCE (MRO) |
General purpose absorbents, suitable for most liquid spills including coolants, solvents, oil and emulsified hydrocarbons. Will absorb water and aqueous solutions. Colour: grey |

HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS |
Chemically inert and surfactant treated, designed for hazardous chemical spill clean-up and will not react with aggressive fluids. Colour: green |

Note: Maintenance and Hazardous Absorbents are not suitable for using to absorb on oil water as they will absorb both the oil and water and will sink when saturated.
